The latest Bedrock update (26.1) introduces some pretty big behind-the-scenes changes to how Minecraft works - especially for players joining via Geyser (the plugin we use so Bedrock players can connect to our Java servers).

Here’s a simple breakdown of what’s changed and what it means for you:

🧠 Smarter, clearer game code (deobfuscation)
Minecraft’s internal code is now much easier for developers to understand.
👉 This doesn’t change gameplay directly, but it massively improves how quickly plugins like Geyser can be updated and enhanced (as well as our own in-house-developed custom plugins we rely on for our core gameplay like ModN Equine!).

🐎 Improved movement handling (including horses)
Bedrock has changed how certain entities (like horses and boats) are controlled.
👉 This may cause some temporary quirks while Geyser adapts, but it also opens the door for much better long-term behaviour and compatibility.

🚀 What this means overall

• There may be some short-term bugs or odd behaviour
• But this update gives Geyser developers much more control and flexibility
• Which means better Bedrock support in the long run

Just to clarify, the Java server is still 1.21.11 until a fully-stable Paper 26.1 is available, but can now accept connections from Java 26.1+ clients, so feel free to update yours!

The Guoxia is a rare and charming miniature breed originating from China. Despite their small stature, they’re sturdy, spirited, and full of personality - the perfect addition for collectors and breeders looking for something truly unique.

🚫 Riding Update – Size Matters!

With this addition, we’ve also introduced a realism tweak:

👉 Any breed below 10 hands cannot be mounted.

Breeds like the Guoxia are simply too small to be ridden - and just like in real life, it wouldn’t be appropriate to try! These little legends are best admired, bred, and cared for… not saddled up for a cross-country sprint.

This change helps keep things immersive and respectful to real-world equine standards 🐎💚
(Any player who does not own at least one horse already will not be able to select this breed - this is to ensure newbies are not left without a mount)

Whether you’re adding one to your breeding programme or just want the cutest pasture ornament on the SMP… the Guoxia is now available!

Simply go to your launcher and add a new installation, selecting 1.20.4 (or 1.20.6 whichever you prefer) and you will be able to reconnect again.

We are just waiting on the Viaversion plugin dev to release their update (should only be a day or two) so we can allow 1.21 Java players to connect (Bedrock is unaffected as their connections are handled by a different plugin)

Also as part of this update Breeding Potions now have a few lines of descriptive lore on them so you can easily see that they are legit. This will only be on newly-created potions though, but don't worry, your existing (legit) ones will still work even if they do not have it so there's no need to swap them out.

NO BREEDING POTIONS ARE ALLOWED TO BE LISTED FOR SALE UNLESS THEY ARE LEGIT - IT IS ON YOU AS THE SELLER TO CHECK BEFORE YOU SELL THEM (YOU CAN DO THIS BY SEEING IF YOU CAN OPEN THE BREEDING GUI WHILE HOLDING THEM)

Anyone found selling non-legit Breeding Potions will be fined twice the amount they sold them for!

Earlier today user 'Yardi' was banned for life, along with DOZENS of alt accounts they were getting from somewhere (possibly stolen/hacked) in order to cheat the system so they could steal the free stuff from the starter kits they were getting and selling them for profit. They were pretty much flooding the market with horse eggs, boosts and plot claims, all gained through fraudulently exploiting our trust.

As a result we have now implemented alt account monitoring which is flagging up multiple people for having multiple alts. We will not be automatically banning people at this stage, just keeping an eye out for who is betraying the community through unfairly exploiting the system and in those cases we will be banning players for doing so.

What we wanted to discuss with this post is to let you guys understand our vision for the Pinecraft Equestrian minecraft network, of which you all are so crucially important and will be able to look back in future years and know you were all the OG's for what is to come!

Firstly, we absolutely could not be here today without the generous support of everybody who makes /shop purchases and everybody who helps to make this community thrive and be so supportive of each other, even while remaining so very, very competitive!

Secondly, this new RRP server is not going to take anything away from our ongoing developments and enhancements planned for Pinecraft SMP, as it is all drop-in publicly-available mods while the SMP server has our own tailor-made custom Equine plugin no other horse server has. It will be a chilled-out creative roleplay environment offering a different sort of gameplay experience from the survival world of Pineland, and revenue received from its players access subscriptions will allow us to grow our capabilities even more for you guys, securing a future roadmap which will see everybody benefit as we make Pinecraft Equestrian THE horse minecraft network!

How does it work?

Teleport with your beloved pets:

What do I need to do for them to teleport?
The pet doesn't need to be leashed (but can) and needs to be at least 2 blocks close to you.
Pet can't be sitting while trying to teleport! Otherwise it won't come with you!

1. If you do not feed your horse for 24 hours when you mount it you will see its energy level depleted to 10% (energy below 15% results in an impaired Speed/Jump ability), meaning it will need to be fed to bring its energy level back up ❗

2. Anybody can feed a horse now ❗

Why is this a fairly big deal, you ask?

- Well, it means that when you board your horses at a stables with full livery, they can feed your horse for you to ensure it remains persistently spawned and can also train it for you!
(for an agreed amount of distance/jumps per day perhaps?)

Don't forget, if your persistent-spawn mode horse is not fed daily it will switch out to regular spawn mode and despawn if you're not online - which will also show whether your chosen livery is doing a good job in looking after your horse while you're not around!

This means there's a whole new level to boarding and livery services!

All you need to do to include your horse in the list is to load /h panel and select your horse's price in the 'Sell' GUI
(as long as its been fed within the last 24 hours otherwise give it some monch first!)

Remember: Setting a horse for sale locks it into persistent spawn mode, meaning it will not despawn when you log off, so that prospective buyers can view it and right-click on it to see its 'Buy' GUI
(so make sure to place your horse in a pen in the market)

Note: You must feed your horse once per day if it is in persistent-spawn mode otherwise it will cancel the sale and revert to regular spawn mode

*Racing feature is currently under development so get training!

This should then allow for people to have any number of configurations that best suit their own gameplay and goals, without needing to worry about whether you're exceeding allowed limits because if you are, the game will correct for it.

Pinecraft Equestrian runs on the best hardware on the market, but Minecraft has certain processing limitations which mean these kind of game rules are required to avoid the server lagging. It wouldn't be fair to have some people exceeding safe limits and impairing everybody else's fun, so this is the most effective way to keep things running smoothly!

This will be implement in the coming days. It is not available right now.

Soon, every time you /vote you will get some Stars given to you in the /shop (https://modnmetl.com/category/pinecraftequestriancom-5f9ea1dba5ad70023d2dc108). You can vote 3 x every day, and within a few months (well before the 6month lease is up on your plot) you will be able to buy another small plot to renew your current land claim!

In anticipation of this, we have switched the vote rewards from an Emerald to a Diamond, and in a few hours I will be removing the emerald at the exchange in the /warp bank

So if you have emeralds to sell, do it soon! We are excited to bring you this new change as it allows our most dedicated and active players to renew their plots (and if they are really dedicated, maybe get some more fancy items from the /shop!)
