Applications for the next Mayor and Council have officially closed. A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to apply and put themselves forward to serve the community!

Over the next few days, the team will be reviewing applications and finalizing the list of candidates. Once that process is complete, we'll announce the official candidates and kick off the campaign and voting period!

We've seen a number of inaccurate race times make their way onto the leaderboards in TownHall, and we know that's frustrating for everyone who's been competing fairly.

So to make things right and ensure the competition is as fair as possible, we'll be resetting the race time leaderboards on Wednesday, 10 June 2026

This fresh start will remove any invalid times and give everyone an equal opportunity to earn a spot on the boards with their horse.

Thanks for your understanding, and we can't wait to see who claims the top spots in the new rankings!

Join us on **Sunday, May 31st** for a celebratory **Mayor’s Parade** through town as we gather to honor the current Mayor and Council and celebrate everything they’ve accomplished over the past year serving the PCE community!

The parade procession will travel through town before concluding at the Sporkle statue, where members of the current council will give speeches reflecting on memorable moments from their term, projects and improvements they’ve worked on throughout the year, and the experiences they’ve shared with the community along the way.

Following the parade, everyone is invited to stay for a community celebration featuring themed Minecraft foods, small goodies, and time to relax, mingle, and spend time together with fellow residents of Pinecraft.

We’ll also have a special announcement to share with the community following the parade, so you won’t want to miss it. 👀

Hey Pinecrafters!

To improve server performance and reduce unnecessary database bloat, we’ll be performing a cleanup of long-expired Auction House (/ah) listings that were never collected by their owners.

This cleanup will only affect *expired* listings that **__pre-date February of this year__** and is intended to keep things running smoothly going forward.

If you have any extremely old unclaimed Auction House items, __now__ would be a good time to double-check and collect them before the cleanup takes place.
Use the command `/ah collect` to easily collect the items!

🕚 **You have time until: 25 May 2026 to collect your old expired items off /ah! After this day they will get irreversibly deleted!**

Hi everyone,

We want to follow up on a reminder we shared recently about internet safety and external servers, and expand a bit on why this is something we take seriously.

When interacting online, it's important to remember that *you can never fully know who is behind the screen.* Even when someone feels famiilar or "part of the group", anything that happens outside of PCE is not something we can see, monitor, or step in to help with. Once conversations or interactions move into external servers or private spaces, we lose the ability to protect or support players if something goes wrong.

This is why we have a clear rule that **PCE should not be used to invite, direct, or move players into outside Discord servers or off-platform groups.** We know friendships and group spaces naturally form, but using our space to transition people elsewhere removes them from the safety and moderation we can provide here.

Recently, staff have had to take action in situations where external activity began affecting the safety and stability of the community. *Our responsibility is to make decisions that protect the wellbeing of players and maintain a safe environment within PCE.*

Because of this, we want to reinforce that the rule remains in place and will continue to be enforced consistently. **We also want to remind everyone not to spread screenshots, speculation, or ongoing moderation discussions between players. If you have concerns, please bring them directly to staff so they can be handled properly.**

**TLDR**
- You can never fully know who is behind the screen, and we cannot protect or moderate what happens outside of PCE.
- *Do not* use PCE to move players into external servers or private spaces. This will continue to be enforced.
- *Do not* spread screenshots or discuss moderation situations with others. Bring concerns directly to staff.

We need to be *very* clear about this.

Inviting or directing players to any non-partnered or private Discord servers is *not* allowed. This includes small or "friends-only" servers.

This also applies to *how* you share it. **You *cannot* send invites in public chat, in DMs, or tell people to add you/contact you somewhere else to join. If you met someone through PCE, you should not be moving them to outside servers.**

This rule is here for player safety. We have many younger members in our community, and once conversations move to outside servers we cannot see what's happening or step in if something goes wrong. That means we can't help if there are arguments, inappropriate behavior, or worse. That's why we take this seriously.

Going forward, this will be enforced *strictly*. If you invite, promote, or direct others to outside servers, you will receive moderation action. Please keep interactions within PCE where staff can help keep things safe. If you're ever unsure about something, please ask a moderator first.

Hey everyone,

We know we just made a pretty serious announcement yesterday, but this is something that needs to be addressed clearly to protect the kind of space we are trying to maintain here on PCE.

First, **we do not allow any form of e-dating on this server**. This includes dating, weddings, roleplaying relationships, or any behavior that suggests a romantic relationship between players. This is not a gray area and it is not something that will be allowed under *any* circumstances.

This rule exists for a reason. PCE is a family friendly server with many younger players, and online relationships can very quickly become unsafe. Not everyone on the internet is who they say they are. What may seem harmless at first can lead to situations involving manipulation, pressure, or people asking for personal information. Our goal is to prevent those situations before they ever start and to keep everyone here safe.

Second, PCE *is* and *always will be* a **safe, inclusive, and LGBTQ+ friendly server**. Every player deserves to feel welcome and respected regardless of who they are.

Because of that, **homophobia, transphobia, or any form of bigotry will never be tolerated**. This includes jokes, comments, “opinions,” or behavior that targets or excludes others.

These rules are not here to limit fun. They are here to protect our players and to make sure this server remains a safe, respectful space for everyone. We expect all players to follow these rules and to be mindful of how their actions affect others.

If you are ever unsure about something, it is always better to step back and keep things appropriate and respectful.

We appreciate the many players who help make this community positive and welcoming, and we expect these standards to be upheld moving forward.

Hey everyone, we need to have a quick chat about internet safety. PCE is a family friendly server, and our mod team works really hard to make sure rules are followed and that everyone here feels safe and comfortable. That said, we also need everyone to do their part by staying aware and making safe choices online. Recently, we’ve had a few reports of players getting direct messages on Discord from people they don’t know. Some of these messages might seem polite or harmless at first, but they are often the start of scams.

Here’s an example of one that was sent to a player:

*“Hello can I disturb you for a minute… may I know if this is your Steam account?”*

This might not look dangerous right away, and that is exactly why messages like this work. They are designed to feel normal so that you respond. Once someone replies, the person may try to convince them something is wrong with their account, send a fake link, or ask for information. A good rule to remember is this: **if someone you don’t know is asking about your account, it is not safe.**

What makes messages like this suspicious:

- It’s from someone you don’t know

- They are asking about your account

- There is no clear reason for them to message you

If you ever receive a message like this:

- Do not reply

- Do not click any links

- Block the user

- Let a mod or a trusted adult know

Please also remember:

- *Never* share personal information online

- *Never* share passwords or account details

- **Staff will *never* message you privately asking for this information**

This applies everywhere, not just on PCE. Knowing how to spot messages like this helps keep you safe here and anywhere else online. We care about all of you and want to keep this a safe place for everyone 💛

**TLDR:**

If someone you don’t know messages you about your account, don't reply, don't click anything, block them, and tell a mod or a trusted adult.

**>> Each dash reduces your horse’s Energy by 10%.**
**>> If Energy falls below 10%, your horse will only walk until the end of the race.**
**>> Overuse the crop and your horse may rear, slowing you down, so timing is key!**

**Following up on the racing poll held November last year, we'd like to inform you that most of the barrier blocks, adjacent to the fence jumps, have been removed. **

**By carefully lining up your horse with the fence, you are now able to skip the set of fences entirely. But be aware: one small mistake and you might fall hundreds of blocks into the ocean, so race carefully everyone!🪂 **

**⚠️ Please note that the barriers on the left side of the last set of fences have been kept, as it would be too big of an easy advantage, to overtake another player right at the end.**

Don't bug out! Just open a support ticket, and we’ll wrangle it for you!
